  • API Keys (Bring Your Own Key feature): If you choose to use your own OpenAI API key, you must input it into the App. This key is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase usage credits, you will provide payment information (such as credit card details) directly to our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number or CVC.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about your device (model, OS version) and how you use the App (e.g., app crashes, performance metrics) to help us improve stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information solely for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: We transmit your images and text descriptions to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the solution you requested.
  • To Process Payments: We use Stripe to securely process your purchases of API usage credits.
  • To Authenticate Requests: If you use your own API Key, the App uses it to authenticate your requests directly with OpenAI.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the necessary service providers to make the App work:

  • OpenAI (AI Service Provider): The images and text descriptions you submit are sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. to generate the repair analysis. Your data is subject to OpenAI’s data usage policies and is not used by us to train models.
  • Stripe (Payment Processor): We use Stripe for payment processing. When you make a purchase, your payment data is securely handled by Stripe. Their use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. No User Accounts

You are not required to create a user account, username, or password to use FixItWizard AI. We do not track your usage history linked to a personal identity. Your API key and settings are stored locally on your device.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • Local Storage: Your personal OpenAI API Key is stored securely on your device’s internal storage.
  • Encryption: Data transmitted between the App, Stripe, and OpenAI is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

8. Data Deletion and Retention

We believe in giving you control over your data, even though FixItWizard AI does not require a user account.

  • Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of any personal data collected during your use of the App, such as support emails or transaction records from Stripe.
  • Locally Stored Data: Since we do not use user accounts, information like your personal OpenAI API Key is stored only on your device. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the App’s cache/data in your Android settings or by uninstalling the App.

  • Retention: We only retain anonymized usage statistics and transaction confirmations required for legal or tax purposes.
